nobody can hear you do you know?
everyone's around you but so far away
you build your little brown brick wall
with no windows to let the canaries sing
this path that you are sliding down
have you ever wonder where it'll end?
little slopes to hurl you into the sky
before guiding you down like yesterday
where is the light they spoke of on sunday
there are no lamps in this street of mine
where is the warmth which they clearly felt
all we have is the cold brezze blowing down
flick your light if you can see me
make it shine bright so i can walk to you
i'll crawl to the flickering light
everyone's around you but so far away
you build your little brown brick wall
with no windows to let the canaries sing
this path that you are sliding down
have you ever wonder where it'll end?
little slopes to hurl you into the sky
before guiding you down like yesterday
where is the light they spoke of on sunday
there are no lamps in this street of mine
where is the warmth which they clearly felt
all we have is the cold brezze blowing down
flick your light if you can see me
make it shine bright so i can walk to you
i'll crawl to the flickering light
